A cookie is a small file that is sent to your computer or automatically stored on your computer or mobile device by the web browser you use when you visit our websites. This enables us to recognize you when you return to this website, even if we do not know who you are. In addition to cookies that are only used during a session and are deleted after your website visit (“session cookies”), cookies can also be used to store user settings and other information for a certain period (e.g. two years) (“permanent cookies”). However, you can set your browser so that it rejects cookies, only stores them for one session or otherwise deletes them before. Most browsers are preset to accept cookies. We use permanent cookies to save user settings (e.g. language, autologin) so that we can better understand how you use our offers and content. Some of the cookies are set by us, some are also set by contractual partners with whom we work. If you block cookies, certain functionalities (such as language selection, shopping cart, ordering processes) may no longer work.
Iftest AG also includes visible and invisible image elements in some newsletters and other marketing e-mails, to the extent permitted. By retrieving these from our servers, we can determine whether and when you have opened the e-mail so that we can also measure and better understand how you use our offers and tailor them to you. You can block this in your e-mail program; most are preset to do this.
By using our websites and agreeing to receive newsletters and other marketing e-mails, you consent to the use of these techniques. If you do not want this, you must set your browser or e-mail program accordingly.
Iftest AG also has a separate policy on cookies, which is available at https://www.iftest.ch/en/cookie-statement-eu/. It lists in detail exactly which cookies are used.
7.2 Plugins
7.2.1 LinkedIn and Xing
Iftest AG integrates components or social plugins of the social networks LinkedIn and Xing (operating company Xing: New Work SE, Am Strandkai 1, 20457 Hamburg Germany; operating company LinkedIn: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland) on its website. Iftest AG itself does not collect any personal data via the social plugin and its use. The social plugin from LinkedIn or Xing is only integrated as a graphic on the Iftest AG website. This graphic contains a link to the LinkedIn or Xing website. By clicking on the graphic, the user is redirected to the service or the website of LinkedIn or Xing.
By clicking on the social plugin, LinkedIn or Xing receives the information that the user has visited the website of Iftest AG. If the user in question is simultaneously logged in as a member of LinkedIn or Xing while visiting the website of Iftest AG, LinkedIn or Xing will directly assign the data collected by the social plugin to the corresponding LinkedIn or Xing user account. This assignment can be prevented by the user logging out of his LinkedIn or Xing user account before using the website of Iftest AG or before clicking on the social plugin.
Further information on the collection, processing, and use of personal data by LinkedIn is available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Further information on the collection, processing and use of personal data by LinkedIn can be found at https://privacy.xing.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung.
7.2.2 Other plugins and social media plugins
Iftest AG uses plugins from social media and other providers (e.g. Google Maps) on its website. Currently, these are YouTube, Google Maps and Google reCAPTCHA. This is visible to you in each case (typically via corresponding symbols, video displays or map sections).
Iftest AG has configured these elements so that they are deactivated by default. If you activate them (by clicking, entering, etc.), the operators of the respective social networks can register that you are on our website, where you are accessing it from and they can use this information for their purposes. The processing of your personal data is then the responsibility of this operator in accordance with its data protection regulations. Iftest AG does not receive any information about you from them.
7.3 Hyperlinks
Iftest AG may place so-called hyperlinks to websites of other providers on its website. By clicking on such a hyperlink, the user is forwarded directly to the website of the provider concerned.
Iftest AG has no influence on whether these providers comply with the relevant data protection regulations. Iftest AG can therefore accept no responsibility for this. For information on the collection, processing and storage of personal data, the user must contact the provider concerned or the person responsible for the operation of this website directly.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described above or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. After unsubscribing from the newsletter, we will delete your e-mail address, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to use your data for other purposes, which are permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.
Furthermore, we reserve the right to use your first and last name as well as your postal address for our own advertising purposes, e.g., to send you interesting offers and information about our products by mail. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in addressing our customers in advertising, which are outweighed by our interests (pursuant to Art. 31 Para. 1 and 2 DSG / Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO).
You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.
