Iftest has invested into its manufacturing by implementation of a new SMT prototyping line. In addition the PCB assembly capacity has been significantly increased at the manufacturing site in Wettingen. Thereby Iftest is positioned well for further growth. 

Strengthening of prototyping line and NPI

Prototype manufacturing and NPI (New Product Introduction) are core competencies for Iftest. Customer trust Iftest in order to move quickly from first prototypes to a product ready for serial manufacturing. Due to fast availability of prototypes customer are enabled to carry out important verification and validation tests effectively. The dedicated PCB assembly line is the heart of the fast prototyping line.

Reduction of production times

Due to the Investment at the Wettingen site,  Iftest has now two platform-identical SMT assembly lines. Furthermore Iftest is able to react more flexible during peak times of demand and increase utilisation of equipment and production employees. Wolfram Ebner, head of process engineering at Iftest, emphasises that the expansion is a logic consequence of the demand increase and that Iftest has found the optimal partner with a well known equipment manufacturer.

Demand for industrialisation and volume manufacturing of electronic assemblies, modules and devices continues to be strong, in particular in growth markets such as medtech, industrial automation and building technology. In order to meet this demand, Iftest is continuously investing into new production Equipment and process technology.
