Use Case: Industrialization of Smart Grid Electronics
The generation of electricity from renewable energy sources is changing the requirements for power grids, as energy production from sources such as solar and wind is subject to significant fluctuations. Smart grids, which make power networks more intelligent and flexible to control, offer a promising solution to this challenge.
Iftest has industrialized such a smart grid module for a leading energy service provider. The company was selected as the electronics partner specifically because of its extensive experience in industrialization and series production.
Building on software originally developed as part of a KTI research project, Iftest further advanced the system and supported the customer throughout the entire industrialization process — from PCB design and prototype manufacturing to full-scale series production.
