The development of medical wearables is one of the hottest topics in medical technologies of the future, particularly in the field of connected healthcare. For this reason, this year’s Compamed and Medica trade fair will focus on the latest trends and advances in this area. The world’s foremost trade fair for medical technology attracts over 20,000 visitors to Düsseldorf each year. This year, the event will take place from 13 – 16 November.

Topic: Smartwatch electronics meets medical wearables – how miniaturised electronics will be leveraged for improved patient care. Content: The possibilities afforded by miniaturised electronics that are based on consumer applications, such as high-end smartwatches with health features. In the field of connected healthcare, it may become possible to realise new and innovative solutions thanks to advances in the miniaturisation of electronics, low power and sensor technologies, as well as wireless communications. Together with Messe Düsseldorf, the magazine DeviceMed, Vogel Verlag’s trade publication of the year, is behind the founding and organisation of the Suppliers Forum.
